Pudu Robotics, a Commercial service robotics company, has announced the worldwide launch of its new robot – the FlashBot, which can offer safe and reliable room delivery, facilitating digital management to provide contactless -delivery to customers.
The main aim of the FlashBot is to offer full-stop digital management with auto-building delivery service in high efficiency. By setting up the instructions through the app, FlashBot can call and get to the elevator in a secure and orderly manner without human intervention, and it can also remind customers to pick up food and parcels by sending a message with the pickup code or calling the customer directly.
Looking like more of a value addition to KettyBot, the FlashBot is the latest addition to the Pudu Robotics robot series. It is outfitted with three top-tier built-in RGB-D camera sensors and customized lidar SLAM for in-depth obstacle avoidance, including 3D mapping and localization, path planning, and autonomous navigation, which is similar to Amazon’s Astro Robot.
Also, FlashBot can track people and detect obstacles as low as 3cm and suspended obstacles at the height of 70cm.
Above all, with the power of the IoT technology and Pudu cloud-computing with data transmission, the FlashBot has the ability and sensory perception to sense and get the accurate path navigation and location positioning to begin a safe work tour and perform a safe delivery service across the buildings and floors.
The newly improved auto-level 6-wheel independent linkage suspension can detect different floor conditions and adjust the damping accordingly, allowing the robot to move around in an optimal stable state.
PUDU Scheduler system enables the FlashBot to communicate with other Pudu robots in the same system. This system allows 20 robots to work simultaneously. When the battery runs low, FlashBot issues a voice alert and a UI notification before returning to the docking station. With a capacity of 15.6Ah, the battery can last up to 12 hours on a single charge.
The multi-functional compartment makes the most of the available space, allowing FlashBot to perform multiple tasks with a single tap. The compartment includes a UV germicidal lamp with a sterilization rate of up to 99.9%.
