Nuro, the American Robotics company, has announced the launchof its Brand New Manufacturing Facility and a World-class Test Track for its Delivery Robots in Nevada.
Unlike the self-driving Snacks and pharmacy mart, Nuro’s autonomous delivery robots take online orders of groceries, medicines, food, and other locally sourced goods and deliver them right to your doorstep.
Nuro’s Manufacturing Facility would handle the manufacturing of vehicles to serve the neighborhoods across the country. The vehicles would be assembled wholly in America.
Initially, there would be 250 Job openings to create more opportunities for families in Nevada. Nuro is looking to build a talent pipeline with local universities, community colleges, and career training programs focusing on traditionally underrepresented individuals in current technology roles.
Nuro is developing a world-class test track in 74 acres of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to validate and develop their vehicles. It would facilitate them to test various scenarios, such as avoiding children, pets and giving bicycles adequate space.
Before widespread deployment, they can experiment with these low carbon footprint vehicles in a real-world scenario. They will be iterating on new safety features constantly to ensure their bots’ standards for safe practices.
Senator Jacky Rosen stated that investing in autonomous vehicle technological advancements will allow them to better address the issue of road safety in Nevada. He added that he is still enthusiastic about efforts, which will benefit their communities.

According to Governor Steve Sisolak, It’s one thing to bring new jobs to the state; it’s quite another to bring high-quality jobs to their community. He went on to say that they are delighted to welcome Nuro to Southern Nevada and are especially excited about the jobs that will be available, which will have long-term benefits for the community.
Nuro is investing $40 million in Southern Nevada business centers totaling more than 125,000 square feet of space and more than eighty acres of land development.
Initially, they are starting with 250 employees, and the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development estimates that their investment would generate $2.2 billion in financial impact over the first ten years of operation.
