Geek+, a global AMR manufacturer in partnership with FDL Group, has deployed sorting robots at the warehouse of Athinaiki SA, a logistics and Transport Services that operates in Greece.
FDL Group is a leading integrator of supply chain solutions and the sole distributor of Geek+ AMR solutions in Greece and Cyprus. It is the firm’s second project in the region.
An official announcement stated that nearly 29 sorting robots assist employees in a 562 square meter warehouse by sorting 1.400 – 1.500 parcels per hour.
Employees will now load ordered goods onto sorting robots, automatically transferring them to one of the 104 sorting cages bound for various destinations, based on a simple chutes layout made up of QR codes. Companies can scale operations flexibly when there is a sudden shift in throughput demand by simply altering the number of robots and sorting destinations since there is no need for wires or fixed infrastructure.
