Flow Robotics, a Lab Automation company, has launched its Pipetting Robot Division in North America.

The company’s first product, the Flowbot® ONE, works on a simple mechanism that anyone can set up a procedure without complex programming. The robot can also Effortlessly connect with devices located on the deck or outside of the system. It also allows for data import and export.

Furthermore, Flowbot® ONE can be used in a variety of pipetting applications and tasks in the lab. Normalization, sample aliquoting, microplate filing, next-generation sequencing (NGS), ELISA sample preparation, assay development, screening, reformatting, cherry-picking, transferring, serial dilution, plate replication, and reformatting are all part of the process.

Robots are widely creating an impact in the medical industry. Earlier, INOV8 Surgical completed its first robotic surgery using THINK Surgical’s Next-Gen. Robot Tech.

Unilabs, one of Europe’s biggest diagnostic providers, employed five Flowbot® ONE robots to help screen patients with multiple sclerosis for viruses, increasing lab productivity by 40%.

Nordic Bioscience, a biomarker powerhouse that develops novel biomarkers and conducts medical trials, used the Flowbot® ONE to automate their clinical lab gadget to help optimize the work procedure and reduce pipetting for biomarker measurements. Hands-on lab time decreased from 2 hours and 15 mins to 20 mins when up to 8 biomarkers had been run inside the lab at an equal time.

Craig Cardella, Vice President and General Manager of Flow Robotics’ new North American division, expressed his excitement about bringing Flowbot® ONE to labs in North America to help increase productivity and change how they do business.

Flow Robotics CEO Annika Isaksson stated that their technology sets a global precedent in life sciences, healthcare, and academia by delivering faster and more accurate lab results. The flowbot® ONE assists labs in achieving a more sustainable setup by automating many of the tedious and time-consuming manual pipetting tasks. As a result, lab personnel can devote their time to more valuable activities. Flowbot® ONE also reduces human error and workplace injuries, increasing lab productivity where humans and robots can work together.

Flowbot® ONE has played a crucial role in fighting against the coronavirus. Currently, In Europe, more than 600,000 COVID-19 test reports are prepared by Flowbot® ONE. The robot will be displayed for the first time in the United States at the SLAS 2021 Americas Sample Management Hybrid Symposium, held September 9-10 in La Jolla, California.

Flow robotics is a lab automation company. It has its headquarters in Glentevej, Denmark. Its mission is to make automation technology accessible to all.
